2. World Bank committing over US$2b to support three Asean nations The World Bank is currently supporting 43 active projects in Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia, with commitments of over US$2.7 billion as of June, according to a recent report. 3.Trial health project targets thousands of uninsured in Saravan
More than 46,000 people in Saravan province previously without health insurance coverage are benefiting from the trial of a medical funding model targeting those who are not covered by existing schemes. Health authorities have confirmed that reports of cases of Hepatitis A continue to rise in number, particularly on the outskirts of the capital and neighbouring Vientiane Province.
