Cover Dance Contest 4

Young people aged between 12 and 22 years are needed to join the Vientiane Center Dance Contest 4 by Fanglao Dance Company and Vientiane Center. The contestants will get a chance to participate in Cover Dance and All Style Battle categories and win a prize of 10 million kip.

Asean-India research training fellowship

Agriculture Fair

The Faculty of Agriculture, Nabong Campus - the first agriculture institute in Laos - is celebrating its 45th anniversary. The event will highlight the research work undertaken by students and teachers, as well as other achievements of students. Student Market Fair

Let’s shop and have fun with students of the Faculty of Economic and Administration. The students are organising a Students Market Fair, which has 40 food booths. Besides shopping there are several activities to entertain visitors. The entry to the fair is free.

Lao Bhu Han 2020

Don’t miss a chance to join the Lao Bhu Han 2020, which will take place this week. Several activities such as fashion shows, music and dance contests have been organised. Around 35 from participants from The Handicraft Association, and The Silk Association will display their products. Lucky brand and Gold Enage will display their wares too at the event. New Year greeting card workshop

NB Singing Contest

Calling all talented singers to join the N8 Singing Contest and get a chance to win up to 10,000,000 kips. Singers between 15 and 25 years are eligible to apply for the contest. They can either sing solo, or in a band. Whoever wins will be trained by renowned singer Tee Oudalay.

Japanese scholarship

Applications have been invited for the Japanese government’s fully funded MEXT Scholarship 2021. The scholarship’s categories include Master’s degree, PhD, undergraduate, college, technology, and specialised training college.

When: Applications for Master’s degree and PhD must be submitted by July 17. Applications for undergraduate and college must be submitted by July 24. This year, research students will be enrolled from October for 2021 while undergraduate, college of technology and specialised training college students will start from April 2021.

Textbook donation

People having old textbooks that they no longer use but which are still in good condition, are invited to donate the textbooks to the Vientiane secondary school. The books will be kept in the school library or shared with other schools that don’t have enough textbooks.

Free occupational training for women

Women aged between 16 and 34 years who are currently not working can apply for a free training course in wig making. Selected participants will join the 40-day course with free accommodation and meals. After training, the participants who graduate will be employed and receive a salary ranging from 1.2 million kip to 3.12 million kip with welfare measures such as training courses. Lao Red Cross clothing appeal
