Information ministry appoints new deputy minister

Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism held a ceremony on Friday to announce the new appointment of its new deputy minister, with its 27 Party units rewarded for being honest, strong, and loyal.
Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat and Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Prof. Dr Kikeo Khaykhamphithoun led the ceremony.
The appointment of the ministry’s Head of Office, Mr Vansy Kuamua as a new deputy minister, was announced at the ceremony.
The Party organisation of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism has 45 Party units, 27 of them gained the title of being transparent, strong, and loyal for 2019.
In his address at the ceremony, Prof. Dr Kikeo praised the outstanding achievements made by the Party members in the past year, expecting that more Party units would receive the title this year.
He pointed out the critical tasks for the ministry’s Party Committee, Party members, and civil servants at all level to implement such as the prevention of coronavirus by strictly following the notices of the Taskforce for the Prevention, Control, and Addressing of Covid-19.
Furthermore, Party members and civil servants have to implement the notices of the Prime Minister’s Office Head on guidelines for celebrating Lao New Year, and actively participate in marking 65 years of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party following the instructions of the Guiding Committee for celebrations of national historical dates in 2020.
The minister also called on Party members and civil servants to be prepared for the upcoming Fifth Meeting of the ministry’s Party Organisation by enhancing organisational effectiveness and self-improvement through the implementation of their political duty.
