Lao Brewery unveils state-of-the-art canning line to boost capacity and meet growing demand
The Lao Brewery Company (LBC) has introduced a new canning line in Vientiane, marking a significant milestone in the company’s pursuit of excellence and innovation in brewing.

The activation of this cutting-edge canning line is poised to revolutionise LBC’s production capabilities, enabling the company to meet the growing demand for its renowned beverages while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Developed in collaboration with one of the most experienced German canline manufacturers, KHS, the new canning line represents a leap forward in brewing and filling technology, with a capacity of 60,000 cans per hour.
Equipped with high-quality, technologically sophisticated solutions for the complete filling and packaging process, this state-of-the-art line boasts advanced features designed to minimise oxygen pickup during the beer filling process. By leveraging the latest in filling technology and highest hygienic standards, LBC aims to ensure that every can of its premium beverages retains its freshness and flavour, delivering an unparalleled drinking experience to consumers.
The Managing Director of Lao Brewery Company, Mr Henrik Juel Andersen, expressed his excitement at the launch of the new canning line and its potential impact on the company’s growth trajectory.
“The introduction of this advanced canning line at our leading manufacturing facility attests to our unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation. By more than doubling the capacity of our existing line, we are strategically positioned to not only meet current demand but also pave the way for sustained growth over the next decade,” said Mr Andersen.

The launch was attended by several esteemed dignitaries, including the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Mr Malaithong Kommasith, the Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr Phouvong Kittavong, and shareholders’ representative Ph.D. Bouavanh Vilavong, and they were accompanied by the Executive Vice President Asia of Carlsberg Group, Mr Joao Abecasis, Mr Henrik Juel Andersen, and the Director of the Board and LBC’s team member, Mr Thanusack Phommachack.
