The KOICA Office in Laos held an online training on “Capacity Building Programme for Performance Evaluation of State-owned Enterprises and Small Enterprises in Laos” from September 27 to October 6. Some 22 participants from the National Assembly, State Audit Organisation, Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry took part in the programme. The training was implemented by the KDI School of Public Policy and Management, which regularly shares Korea’s experiences in economic development with other Development Partner Countries. Programme participants actively engaged in knowledge-sharing with professors and have improved their understanding of the management evaluation of state-owned, small-medium enterprises and ways to develop the administrative capabilities of the National Assembly and related government officials.                        --Photo KOICA

Mr Keijo Norvanto (left) on Tuesday presents his credentials to the Lao Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr Sengphet Houngboungnuang, in Hanoi, accrediting him as the new Ambassador of Finland to Laos. Mr Sengphet will then hand over Mr Norvanto’s credentials to President Thongloun Sisoulith in Vientiane.
