- S. Korea donates over US$2 million of clothing to Lao Red Cross
The Red Cross of the Republic of Korea has donated clothes worth more than US$2 million (over 20 billion kip) to the Lao Red Cross.
The shipment of clothing, delivered in September and October, will be distributed among the poorest families in remote and rural areas of Laos. It comprises 26 containers holding 14,173 boxes of clothing valued at a total of US$2,758,363....More >>>

One man died and four people were injured when two trucks collided on a notoriously dangerous mountainous road in Luang Prabang province on Sunday.
An emergency rescue team operated in the province by the Lao Red Cross reported that at 14:34pm they received a call informing them that two articulated trucks had been involved in a fatal head-on collision at Phou Kao Lak (9km Mountain) in Nan district.. . ..More >>>

The Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union is calling for a greater investment for the development of adolescents and youth, especially adolescent girls as Laos is joining the world marking the International Day of the Girl Child 2021. The union and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), in collaboration with Plan International, Save the Children International (SCI), Population Services International (PSI), and other partners jointly celebrated the day under the theme ‘Digital Generation: Technology and innovation as accelerators of girls’ bodily autonomy.’....More >>>
