 Seattle, Washington State, USA: Journalists from ASEAN member  states are taking part in the 2024 US-ASEAN Reporters Tour to Seattle in  Washington State and Washington D.C.  to explore US-ASEAN economic relations.The tour, which is taking place from October 26 to  November 7, brings together journalists and reporters from leading media  outlets in various countries in ASEAN to meet with government officials,  academics, industry groups and business leaders  in the United States of America.
 In addition, the journalists  will have the opportunity to cover the US Presidential Election next week,  visiting polling stations as well as the election night watch party.
 The tour participants are also  exploring museums and experiencing the nightlife of the Seattle metropolis, and  meeting with officials at the United States Chamber of Commerce in Washington  D.C. where discussions are arranged.
 The 2024 US-ASEAN Reporters Tour  is the second annual US-ASEAN tour to the United States, aimed at promoting the  strong economic relationship between the United States and ASEAN through  collective identity among regional journalists from each of the member states  of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
 This highlights the positive  economic relationship between the United States and ASEAN, with a secondary  focus on emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI),  cybersecurity, and the digital economy, as well as how the public and private  sectors of the United States work with and support ASEAN and its member states.
 The US Mission to ASEAN, under  the US Department of State, is funding the tour of ASEAN journalists, with the  East-West Centre as the implementing partner.
