HONOR X9d 5G sets new benchmark for durability and power

HONOR Laos officially launched the HONOR X9d 5G in Vientiane on January 23, marking a strong start to 2026 with a smartphone designed for durability, endurance and smart living at an accessible price.
The launch event brought together business partners from across the country and invited guests, who were given the opportunity to experience the device’s strength and performance first-hand. 

The occasion also served as a platform for HONOR Laos to reflect on its achievements in 2025 and to hold a prize draw for representatives nationwide, underlining the company’s growing presence in the Lao market.
Positioned as one of the toughest smartphones in its segment, the HONOR X9d 5G features industry-first Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Technology, offering drop protection of up to 2.5 metres. 
The device is certified with IP69K, IP68 and IP66 standards, providing comprehensive resistance against dust, rain, water immersion and even high-pressure water contact, making it suitable for everyday use in demanding environments.
Powering the device is an advanced 8,300 mAh silicon-carbon battery, delivering up to three days of use on a single charge. 

The battery supports 66W HONOR SuperCharge for fast charging and reverse charging, allowing the phone to function as a power bank when needed. An ultra power-saving mode ensures users can maintain calls even when the battery level drops to as low as 2 percent.
The HONOR X9d 5G is equipped with a 6.79-inch OLED display within a slim 7.76mm body, combining vivid colours with HONOR Eye Comfort Display technology to reduce eye strain during prolonged use. 
Performance is driven by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 Mobile Platform, offering smooth multitasking and efficient power consumption.
Photography is another highlight, with a 108MP rear camera supported by OIS and EIS stabilisation. AI-powered features such as AI Eraser, AI Face Tune, AI Outpainting and AI Upscale enable users to enhance images with ease, while Moving Photo Collage adds creative storytelling options.

Running MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15, the HONOR X9d introduces advanced AI functions including real-time AI Call Translation, Magic Portal 2.0, AI Notes and AI Writing Tools, alongside integrated Google Gemini and Circle to Search for smarter daily productivity.
Available in Reddish Brown, Sunrise Gold and Midnight Black, the HONOR X9d 5G is priced at 8,499,000 kip for the 24GB + 256GB variant.
