The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Mrs Suanesavanh Vignaket, the Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Mrs Darany Phommavongsa, officials of the ministry, and authorities of Vientiane province, Vangvieng district, Naduang village and various sectors gathered on Sunday to plant trees around the new tourist attraction at Kaeng-Nyui Waterfall at Naduang village in Vangvieng district pf Vientiane province to mark the 45th anniversary of the National Arbor Day and the 101st anniversary of International Children’s Day, both observed on June 1.

The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Mrs Suanesavanh Vignaket, and officials visit Naduang village in Vangvieng district on Sunday to support people engaged in making handicrafts. 

Head of the China Cultural Centre in Laos, Ms Li Yiping, hands over a gift to Acting Dean, Mr Mixay Soukchaleun, at the Dragon Boat Festival (Cultural Experiences of Chinese Zisha Art) on Friday. The event took place at the China Cultural Centre in Vientiane, organised by Yixing Gesheng Pottery Culture and Art Co., Ltd. It featured an exhibition of traditional Chinese ceramic art and interactive exchanges that explored perspectives and creative principles, the unique aspects of beauty, cultural symbolism, and connections to modern life. The exhibition aimed to showcase the distinctive charm and uniqueness of Chinese ceramic to the people of Laos.

Officials of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment organised an activity on Saturday to clean dirty drains at Phonsavanhtay and Beungkha-Nhong villages in Sisattanak district in Vientiane to mark the World Water Day, World Wetlands Day and National Water Day.   --Photo Vientiane Mai
