Work recently began on the design of a new programme to boost climate resilient agriculture, enhance gender equality, disability and social inclusion, provide better nutrition and generate income for smallholder farmers in poor communities. This support will build on the strong agricultural research foundations laid by the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research over the past 35 years. A design mission recently met stakeholders from Lao ministries, development partners, NGOs and research institutions and local farmers to identify areas for collaboration in Vientiane and Luang Prabang province. --Photo Australia in Laos |
