Deputy Director of the Lao-Korea Rural Development and Training Centre (centre) presents certificates during the closing ceremony of a capacity-building course on greenhouse cultivation in Vientiane. The course was part of the “Project for Rural Development of Northern and Central Region of Laos”, supported by the Government of the Republic of Korea through KOICA. The five-day training aimed to strengthen home vegetable growing groups and equip farmers with practical knowledge on greenhouse farming to increase yields and family incomes. Deputy Director General of the Department of Rural Development, Ms Veomany Thepphavong, urged participants to apply the skills gained to reduce poverty and promote sustainable development in their villages. Certificates were presented to outstanding individuals in recognition of their active participation and achievements.
