PM to attend Vladivostok economic forum in Russia
Prime Minister Sonexay Sipohandone is leading a Lao delegation comprising state officials and business executives to attend the 10th Eastern Economic Forum scheduled to take place on September 3-6 in Vladivostok, Russia.
The Lao PM will attend the forum under the theme “the Far Eastern: Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity” as an honoured guest of President Vladimir Putin, the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
The forum will provide an opportunity for governments, politicians, business leaders and experts to discuss ways to promote cooperation and address global challenges.
Prime Minister Sonexay is scheduled to address a plenary session in the presence of President Putin, according to the Lao ministry.
In addition, the Lao PM will chair a Laos-Russia business forum, which will be held as a sideline event of the 10th Eastern Economic Forum.
Expected to attract numerous business executives, the forum aims to promote cooperation between the business sectors of the two countries.
