The UK and BSI support standards development in Laos through a capacity building workshop held in Vientiane on September 22-23. The event was led by the BSI, the UK business improvement and standards institute, in collaboration with the Department of Standards and Metrology and other Lao government agencies. The training brought together key stakeholders responsible for standards development in the construction sector. With Laos experiencing rapid growth in construction and increasing demand for eco-friendly building materials, the event aimed to strengthen the country’s ability to utilise effective standards systems.   --Photo UK
