Trainees,  including a strong contingent of women, attend the final day of a five-day  finance course on October 24. The programme, focused on strengthening Saemaul  Geumgo Savings Groups, took place at the Lao-Korea Rural Development and  Training Centre. Organised under the Department of Agricultural Extension and  Cooperatives, the programme aimed to improve financial management at the  grassroots level. Of the 35 staff and village fund representatives in  attendance from Vientiane province, 25 were women, highlighting their crucial  role in managing village funds. The course covered topics ranging from basic  bookkeeping and accounting regulations to operational planning. Department  Director Mr Anongsone Phommachanh urged participants to use their new knowledge  to set up improved accounting systems in their respective villages, ensuring  greater transparency and efficiency.  |
