Dr Athsaphangthong Siphandone, Luang Namtha Provincial Governor, Mr Viengsavath Siphandone, the Counselor of the Chinese Embassy to Laos, Ms Li Xicheun, and the Vice President of Chan An Automobile for Southeast Asia, Mr Guan Xin, along with representatives of Chan An Automobile.
In his opening remarks, the President of Santiphab Motor Company, Mr Viphet Sihachakr, expressed pride in bringing Deepal’s innovative electric vehicles to Lao consumers.
“I am very honoured to welcome you all to this venue on the occasion of the official opening of the first Deepal electric vehicles brand showroom in the Lao PDR,” he said.
He described Deepal as “a brand that represents smart technology, innovation, safety and efficiency in the global electric vehicle market”.
“Our showroom is not only a place to experience Deepal’s latest popular models — the S07 and S05 — but also a full service centre staffed by certified engineers providing expert consultation, maintenance, and genuine spare parts under direct factory warranty,” he said.
Mr Viphet emphasised the economic and environmental advantages of electric vehicles, noting that driving an EV can save more time than 200 million kip in fuel costs over 100,000 km, while reducing carbon emissions by 60 percent to 70 percent when compared to conventional vehicles.
These advantages have made EVs increasingly popular, notably over the past few years, as customers have turned to the clean driving brought by such vehicles, which also come with smart technology, according to Mr Viphet.
Guests at the event experienced in-depth presentations by technical specialists on how to maximise the performance and benefits of Deepal EVs, and demonstrations of the cutting-edge technology integrated into both models.
