The event took place  in Vientiane on October 29. Ambassador Yazar hailed the occasion as a “day of  pride, reflection and gratitude”, commemorating the founding of the Republic in  1923 under Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. She underscored Türkiye’s role as a  “stabilising force” pursuing a principled, humanitarian and proactive foreign  policy that places “peace over conflict, dialogue over confrontation”. The  Ambassador noted that relations with the Lao PDR, established in 1958, have  gained “strong momentum” through recent high-level visits. She highlighted  Türkiye’s commitment to supporting Laos’ development, including 27 development  projects in the fields of agriculture, health and education. Ambassador Yazar  expressed hope for enhanced cooperation in trade, investment, energy and  infrastructure, and a sincere wish to see the Lao flag flying in Ankara with  the opening of a Lao Embassy soon.  |

                              ASEAN media personnel visit the Yuelu Academy at Hunan University on  October 28 as part of the 2025 Overseas Media Tour in Changsha city, Hunan  province, China. The Yuelu Academy is one of the four most prestigious ancient  academies in China.
