Lao consumers show their interest in Korean products at the K-Product Sale Festa 2022 in Vientiane.

K-Product Sale Festa 2022 promotes brand-new products from South Korea

Popular authentic products from the Republic of Korea were promoted and introduced to the public during the K-Product Sale Festa 2022, which was organised by KOTRA Vientiane.
The event was is being held during December 8-30, 2022 at kok kok M, which is located at Phonesinuan village in Sisattanak district of Vientiane.
The event has two booths – Access Product Connecting DAEGU-Laos and K-Product Sale Festa Pop-Up Store – which allow all participants to try and purchase trendy new Korean products, brand-new skin care items, supplements and Korean style snacks.

Access Product Connecting DAEGU-Laos was organised by KOTRA Vientiane and supported by Daegu Metropolitan City, the third largest city in South Korea after Seoul and Busan.
It is a special programme funded by the Korean government to support market testing for Korean products in Laos, and it ands to support the establishment of cooperative relationships, such as signing dealerships through new business development and product sourcing.
The Access Product Connecting DAEGU-Laos booth is a platform for Lao consumers to discover and try out products in three main categories – skin care, food and beverages, and household goods – that have been imported directly from Daegu Metropolitan City.
All the products on display are from 10 Daegu companies, including Medif Co Ltd, a premium toothpaste manufacturer; J&J Company, which specialises in developing high protection sun cream and Glutathione tone-up cream; Handsomecos Co Ltd, who has developed a new instant collagen coffee; and Dasan L&C Co Ltd, which is highlighting products such as a mosquito protection soap for kids and adults.
In the food and beverages category, there are products from Humanwell Co Ltd, which is offering seaweed rice crisp non-fat snacks in four flavours – original, chili, cheese and wasabi.
D&C Bio is showcasing its 100 percent fresh fruit and vegetable juice with a HACCP certificate, and Planfood Co Ltd is offering its Korean home-style chicken and sauce products who has a Korean chicken franchise business and hoping to find potential partners in Laos.
For household items, there is a modern, well-designed Korean air purifier from Dynair Korea Co Ltd.
There is a rust-proof cart from Hwa Sung Industrial Co Ltd, which specialises in manufacturing cart wheels and transportation equipment.
Nubes Co Ltd, a Korean supplier, is showcasing its anti-bacteria and dust-free fabric curtain and blinds.
The K-Product Sale Festa Pop-Up Store booth presents a wide selection of 57 Korean products from Lao importers. The major product categories are cosmetics, supplements and traditional Korean foods.
Interestingly, the booth presents famous brands such as Dr.G, Skinfood and Etude house with the best prices ever in Laos.
In addition, the K-Product Sale Festa has a promotion zone where customers can try out items and get product recommendations from store representatives. One of the most anticipated activities among consumers will be “Black Friday,” to be held during December 26-30, 2022, with the best deals through various promotions, such as discounts of up to 50 percent and “buy one get one free” offers.
Four Lao companies have also joined the event to display their products. They are Nok Trading Import-Export Sole Co Ltd, an official dealer in J&J high UV protection cream and Glutathione tone-up cream; Be Beauty Export-Import Sole Co Ltd, which imports Korean brand skin care items and supplements such as Marine Collagen Cream and COLLFFEE from Handsomecos Co Ltd; Mazy Beauty Station, which imports soothing face cleansing wipes from FarmSkin Co Ltd; and Barelify shop, which imports four formula serums from the Lalucell brand.
The Director General of KOTRA Vientiane, Mr Kim Pil Seong, said, “KOTRA Vientiane has been trying to build up linkages between Laos and the Republic of Korea through collaboration and trading distinctive Korean products. We will help local traders and retailers in activities ranging from product sourcing to sales promotion. Next year, we will continue supporting trade between Lao and Korean companies through various activities, especially the K-Con Access Program 2023, carrying out online marketing with our new K-Studio, and organising booths to display distinctive Korean products frequently.”
