Ulju is a county in Ulsan Metropolitan City in ROK. Ulju is the second most populous county in the ROK and well-known as the powerhouse for its manufacturing base. Top-tier Korean conglomerates such as S-Oil, SK Innovation, LG chemical, Samsung SDI, and Ottogi have their manufacturing facilities in Ulju.
Similar to Laos, Ulju is mountainous and famous for its clean water, and is an ideal location for food and consumer goods manufacturers.
The Ulsan Farm Cooperative, backed by 1,270 private beef suppliers in Ulsan Metropolitan City, will present processed Hanwoo Beef products. Hanwoo refers to meat derived from a particular breed of cattle, Bos Taurus coreanae, which are raised in Korea.
Some manufacturers of traditional K-food ingredients are also participating in the event.
Unyang Traditional Food will introduce Korean traditional soybean and hot pepper paste. Unyang pursues Korean traditional manufacturing methods while utilising 100 percent Korean ingredients.
With such efforts, it supplies its premium products to renowned top-tier K-retail chains, such as Hanaro Marts and Lotte Department Stores.
Kweon Do Yeong (KDY) Aloe, with its 29-year-old tradition, will present organic Aloe Saponaria drinks and facial masks. Aloe Saponaria is different from regular aloe and offers diverse benefits for our health and skin.
KDY has also supplied products only to premium retail chains and department stores.
YETGAN, famous for its long history with the family business for the third generation, will show its premium sesame and perilla oil products, which are supplied to top tier hotels and stores, such as the Westin Chosun hotel, Shinsegae department stores, and Lotte department stores. The scent of these products is different from existing products in the market.
Ulju’s K-Beauty companies will also participate in the showcase. HNKSOFT supplies diverse premium beauty items to only top-tier Korean plastic surgery and dermatology clinics. Sunnymall will introduce its goat milk horse oil repair cream, which is functional both for anti-wrinkling and whitening.

KSTECH is considering making Ramen in Laos with its ramen vending machine technology.
Evergreen Plus wants to find a partner that can co-work to introduce a new green solution for Lao agriculture and the livestock industry. Evergreen Plus manufactures an eco-friendly sanitation and disinfection solution, called Nongbiae, to protect agricultural land crops from pests and weeds.
On June 17, from 12:30pm to 3pm, there will be a special B2C campaign event at kok kok Mega Mart. Each Korean company will present their products and offer diverse experiences, such as tasting, drinking and smelling for the audience.
Some Korean non-consumable product companies will also visit Laos with the Ulju business delegation and hold one-on-one business meetings on June 16, at the Lao Plaza hotel.
KAR Co., Ltd. will discuss potential partnership with Lao companies in the automotive industry. KAR, in partnership with Hyundai and Kia motors, is a tech-based company specialising in autonomous driving. Director General of KOTRA Vientiane, Mr Kim Pil Seong, said “This Ulju business delegation includes diverse and attractive hidden and premium products.”
“During the two-day showcase, we hope that members of the Lao business community and consumers will visit kok kok Mega Mart and experience new products while holding business meetings with Korean companies.”
“After the border opening last year, business inquiries from Korea are clearly on the rise, especially in the partnership and investment segments. We hope to bring more Korean companies to achieve our mission here in Laos. To accomplish it, I ask for cooperation and participation from more Lao entrepreneurs,” Mr Kim Pil Seong said.
