Datang (Lao) Pak Beng Hydropower Co., Ltd. creates new platform for Lao-Chinese youth exchange
Young employees of Datang (Lao) Pak Beng Hydropower Co., Ltd. on March 31, 2023, organised an exchange event for “Generation Z” youth with students from the Faculty of Engineering at the National University (NUOL) at the company’s offices in Nongduang Tai village, Sikhottabong district, Vientiane.
“Generation Z” refers to young people born in the Internet Information Age. This was the first time the company organised such an event, aiming to build emotional confidence and strengthen the friendship between the young people of the two nations, to show their abilities, discover their self-worth, and enjoy their young lives to contribute to the constction of the Laos-China bilateral partnership.
More than 10 teachers and students from the Faculty of Engineering participated in the event. They visited the company’s offices, watched an advertising video for the China Datang Group, listened to Chinese youth workers who are aware of the Lao nation, as well as the work experience and growth history of Lao youth, and experienced the Chinese cultural reality concept of “together beauty”.
The reality concept of the China Datang Group is “supplying energy to the world, bringing light to mankind” and “providing clean energy, creating a good and beautiful life” and China Datang Overseas Investment Company Limited “adhering to green and low carbon development, together to create a clean and beautiful world” is the mission of the company.
Similarly, they introduced the cultural and educational environment of the National University of Laos.
The company will invite young people at all levels in Lao society to participate in “Generation Z” exchange activities on a regular basis, as a way to further the development of China-Laos friendship and cooperation from generation to generation.
