CK Power contributes 1.5 million Baht to fight Covid-19

CK Power Public Company Limited (CKPower) has contributed 1.5 million Baht to Lao government to fight the raging COVID-19 pandemic.
CK Power Group, the management of Nam Ngum 2 Hydroelectric Power Plant, and Xayaburi Hydroelectric Power Plant, were concerned over the new wave of COVID-19.
To address this concern, the company contributed Baht 1.5 million through the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane to the health department under Ministry of Public Health, and to the health department of Xayaboury province, where CK Power is operating two hydroelectrical power plants: the Nam Ngum 2 Hydroelectric Power Plant and the Xayaburi Hydroelectric Power Plant.
The contribution was made to actively alleviate the effects of the pandemic in Laos. Moreover, the company has contributed 1.3 million Baht to Bhumibol Adulyadej Hospital in Thailand for the construction of a negative-pressure isolation room along with related equipment and negative-pressure air conditioning units.
The proposed negative-pressure unit is 85 square metres with the capacity to care for four patients, while simultaneously preventing the spread of the virus and ensuring the safety of medical professionals who work closely with COVID-19 patients.
“CK Power Group is pleased to contribute support to the work of both the Thai and Lao governments and health departments to ensure speedy recovery of the people of Laos and Thailand so that they can return to their normal lives as soon as possible,” said the Managing Director of CK Power, Mr Thanawat Trivisvavet.
