A statement issued on March 2 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs read: “The Lao People’s Democratic Republic has been closely following with grave concern the ongoing violence in the Middle East and the risk of further escalation, which has resulted in massive loss of life and property damage, threatening peace and security in the region and the world at large.”
“The Lao PDR calls upon all parties concerned to exercise their utmost restraint, cease all acts of violence, and resolve the ongoing conflict by peaceful means in accordance with the principles of the Charter of the United Nations and International Law.”
