The National Assembly (NA)’s 9th legislature will convene its second extraordinary session on March 17-20 to debate and approve amendments to the constitution (2025-version amendment).
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, the Secretary of the National Assembly, Ms Amphayvone Lombounpheng, said the four-day sitting will also debate and pass amendments to the Law on Local Governance and Law on Civil Servants.
In addition, lawmakers will discuss and approve aspects of the government’s organisational structure.
Special policies (incentives) to be offered to investors operating businesses at the Amata industrial park will also be presented and endorsed, Ms Amphayvone said.
According to a previous report, Thailand-based SET-listed Amata Corporation Plc (Amata) is developing the Amata Smart & Eco City in northern Luang Namtha province, bordering China.
During the extraordinary session, the NA welcomes members of the public to share their views and opinions on issues of concern through the NA’s telephone hotline 156 during official working hours, email nalao.156@gmail.com, and the Laona App.
