Representatives of Star Unitel Company, Lao TV and Artfac Creative Marketing exchange a Memorandum of Understanding at the Lao Plaza Hotel to partner on the FIFA World Cup 2026 Football Night Market public viewing event in Vientiane Capital, as representatives of Lao Coca-Cola Bottling Company and Panda EV Company witness the signing.

Vientiane plans large-scale World Cup fan zone

Star Unitel Company and Star Unitel Company and Lao TV have partnered with Artfac Creative Marketing to launch what organisers describe as Vientiane largest public viewing event for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The partnership was formalised at a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony on July 7 at the Lao Plaza Hotel. Lao Coca-Cola Bottling Company joined as the main sponsor and Panda EV Company joined as the gold sponsor, with both companies serving as witnesses to the agreement.
The project centres on the “Food Ball Night Market”, which will combine live World Cup broadcasts with food, entertainment, tourism activities and community gatherings. Organisers say they want to create a new way for Lao people to enjoy the world’s biggest football tournament together.
As the organiser, Artfac Creative Marketing envisions turning the Food Ball Night Market into more than just a World Cup viewing event. For the FIFA World Cup 2026 final, which will be broadcast live on a giant screen in the heart of Vientiane Capital, the event will also feature the excitement of E-sports competitions and activities designed to bring joy to Lao football fans, all combined with a food festival in a single venue.
The organisers aim to develop the site into a hub for gathering, tourism, food, entertainment, and a new kind of experience for Lao people watching the FIFA World Cup.
Meanwhile, Unitel (Lao TV), as the official rights holder for the live broadcast of FIFA World Cup 2026 in the Lao PDR, will help deliver a standard-compliant and copyright-legitimate World Cup viewing experience to the Lao public, offering them an enjoyable and unprecedented new experience.
The Food Ball Night Market will be held from July 15-20 over a period of six days. Although the organisers have not yet officially disclosed the event venue, they have revealed that the site will be developed into a new landmark for Vientiane Capital—one that will not only host this year’s FIFA World Cup event but will also serve as a future hub for activities and entertainment in the capital.
The partnership also highlights the growing cooperation between the telecommunications, media, beverage and electric vehicle sectors to support large-scale entertainment events in Laos.
Further details, including the venue, event schedule and special activities, will be announced in the coming weeks as preparations continue for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Updates and activities can be followed via the Facebook page Pakpasak Night Market.
