Billionaire Global Fintech launches trial of HappyPay application

Billionaire Global Fintech Sole Company Limited has launched the trial operation of its new digital payment solution, “HappyPay”, following approval from the Bank of the Lao PDR.
The launch comes after the company successfully fulfilled three key operational targets within 90 days of securing its business licence from the central bank in May.

Officials, company representatives, and invited guests pose for a group photo during the HappyPay application soft opening ceremony.

According to the company, investment has been made to upgrade its technological infrastructure to commercial banking standards.
This ensures comprehensive data security, privacy protection, and fully automated regulatory reporting to the Bank of the Lao PDR. The advanced system architecture has been specifically designed to accommodate future expansion into a virtual bank once regulatory conditions allow.
To enhance merchant and consumer convenience, the company has integrated its software with state-of-the-art Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals. The advanced terminals support contactless transactions—allowing users to complete payments simply by tapping a smartphone or payment card—bringing local business operations in line with international standards used in China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, and global markets.
The HappyPay platform offers flexible digital membership through virtual cards issued directly via the mobile application, as well as physical cards available at retail outlets.
The system provides a practical financial solution for overseas students and families. Parents can easily top up accounts via the HappyPay app or card, enabling students to conveniently manage their living expenses while abroad.
Notably, the HappyPay card features cross-border transport functionality, allowing users to pay for transit on railway networks across mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and participating Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) rail lines in ASEAN member countries. The card service covers over 2,000 cities and serves a global user base exceeding 500 million people.
The physical cards will feature typical Lao scenes depicting all 17 provinces and Vientiane, making them an ideal tool or gift for students heading overseas.
