BlueDot powers Laos’ clean mobility drive

As electric vehicles become more popular in Laos, BlueDot Charger is emerging as one of the country’s most exciting EV charging networks, making clean and reliable travel possible nationwide.
Operated by Laothani Group, a major player in the automotive industry, BlueDot reflects the company’s vision to support sustainable transport and innovation. Laothani is well known for its dealership of Toyota vehicles under the name “Toyota Laothani”.
Beyond this, the company imports and distributes leading global brands including Lexus, Peugeot, Jeep, AVATR and JAC, as well as heavy machinery such as Komatsu and Hino for agriculture, construction and mining. It provides a wide range of spare parts and aftermarket products, with a mission “to be the customer’s total solution partner”.

In today’s world, energy, especially clean energy, plays an essential role in transport, tourism and sustainable development. With the global shift towards environmentally friendly solutions, Laos is advancing support for electric vehicle adoption. Recognising this, Laothani saw the importance of ensuring EV usage is not limited by access to charging facilities.
With this vision, the company began studying the feasibility of developing a high-speed, full-service charging network that prioritises safety and accessibility. In 2022, Laothani expanded into EV infrastructure by launching the BlueDot Charger brand, aiming to become a small “blue dot” that connects all travel routes and enables both Lao people and visitors to travel confidently across the country by electric vehicle.
At present, BlueDot operates more than 40 charging stations with over 120 plugs across Laos, with plans to expand further to ensure nationwide coverage.

This growing network makes long-distance EV travel more convenient and encourages greater use of clean energy transport.
Quality and safety remain top priorities for BlueDot. The company has a dedicated team of technicians trained abroad and equipped with advanced diagnostic tools for AC and DC chargers. Only two such sets of equipment exist in Laos – one with BlueDot and the other with the Ministry of Energy and Mines.
In addition to safety, BlueDot provides 24-hour support, offering real-time assistance and troubleshooting for users. This service ensures every customer enjoys convenience and confidence when travelling by electric vehicle.
As Laos continues to move towards a cleaner and more sustainable future, BlueDot stands as a symbol of innovation and environmental responsibility in the country’s modern transport network.
