LBC hosts “LBC Family Open House – Year 2” for employees and their families
Lao Brewery Co., Ltd. (LBC) recently hosted the LBC Family Open House – Year 2, opening its doors to employees and their families for an immersive behind-the-scenes look at the company’s operations and production facilities.
The special event took place simultaneously across two key locations: the company’s head office in Vientiane and the brewery in Pakse, Champasak province.

Families also enjoyed recreational activities, including fun games like ping-pong ball tosses, a creative painting session led by young volunteers from “Houa Seua Asa” (Tigerhead Volunteers), dances performed by mascots, and photo sessions to capture shared memories.
Speaking on behalf of the Board of Directors, Mr Sithixay Ketthavong, Director of Corporate Affairs, CSR and Sustainability, and President of the Trade Union at Lao Brewery Co., Ltd., emphasised the company’s deeply rooted values and commitment to its workforce.
“Over more than five decades in business, the company has grown alongside Lao society. We are proud of, and place great importance on, the families of our employees,” Mr Sithixay said.
“We recognise the value of understanding and involving employees’ families, so that they can see what their loved ones do at the company and what benefits they receive in return.”
He further highlighted the company’s human-centric philosophy: “Beerlao began as a family business and grew into a modern company—one of the great names in the world’s beverage industry. We recognise the importance of human resources. If a machine breaks down, we can buy a new one, but when a person falls ill, they cannot be replaced. For that reason, the company treats the health of its employees, and of their families, as a matter of great importance.”
The event received enthusiastic feedback from staff and their families. Ms Soudany Thavitham, a member of the commercial team, shared her appreciation for the initiative.
“Good activities like this give employees’ families a chance to meet and bond. Their children also get to learn what their parents do at the company,” Ms Soudany added.
“Through events like this, they come to understand more and feel proud to see their parents working somewhere large and modern, and to witness the growth of LBC. Overall, it is a key that unlocks a clear answer for families regarding our work commitments. If there is the opportunity, I would like the management to hold activities like this often.”
The LBC Family Open House serves as a meaningful bridge between the workplace and home, fostering a deeper understanding of the organisation’s operations, safety standards, and the crucial roles employees play in driving the continuous growth of Lao Brewery Co., Ltd.
