BNK Capital Lao expands community impact through annual ‘BNK Happy Sharing’ initiative

BNK Capital Lao has reaffirmed its commitment to community welfare through its annual “BNK Happy Sharing” initiative, conducted in collaboration with its headquarters in Korea.
On August 18, 2025, the company donated 10 boxes of second-hand clothing - approximately 300 items - to flood-affected areas via the Lao Volunteer Association. This year’s support underscored BNK Capital Lao’s dedication to assisting vulnerable groups in times of hardship.
Since its establishment in May 2015, BNK Capital Lao has played a vital role in broadening access to consumer finance across the country. By offering competitive financing for purchases of vehicle and durable goods, the company has supported improved mobility and household development for Lao citizens.

In 2021, the company extended its reach by launching a microfinance institution (MFI), which provides small-scale credit, visa-related loans, and essential financial services to underserved communities.
Beyond the Happy Sharing programme, BNK Capital Lao has continued to implement a range of Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS) initiatives. These include providing computers to local communities with limited digital resources, and supporting various welfare-focused projects aimed at improving education and daily living conditions.
Looking ahead, the company plans to expand these activities through strengthened cooperation with public institutions, including the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and  partner organisations. Through such collaboration, BNK Capital Lao aims to deliver more structured, sustainable and impactful community programmes.
The company emphasised that its CSR efforts are rooted in long-term responsibility, rather than one-time contributions. By supporting socially vulnerable groups, enhancing digital access, and offering practical financial solutions, BNK Capital Lao strives to contribute meaningfully to national development.
Through continued partnership and consistent action, BNK Capital Lao remains committed to being a reliable contributor to the Lao community and a positive force for social progress.
The Korean Embassy in the Lao PDR, together with the Association of Lao Companies, will issue a series of daily reports throughout the first week of December to highlight the CSR initiatives of Korean businesses operating in the Lao PDR.
