LXML enhances Vilabouly healthcare with newly completed Na Kae Health Centre
Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) marked a major milestone in community health development by handing over the newly completed Na Kae Health Centre to the Vilabouly District Public Health Office in Savannakhet province on November 24.
The modern healthcare facility was fully financed by LXML under the Health Impact Assessment project. The project is owned by the Vilabouly District Health Office and the health centre was constructed by Vatthana Khoun Sub Construction Sole Co., Ltd.
Construction began on July 10 this year and was completed on November 12 at a cost of more than 1.3 billion kip, underscoring the company’s direct contribution to local healthcare services.
The project was initiated in response to a documented need for improved medical facilities in the Na Kae service catchment area.
Designed to enhance occupational safety and accessibility, the centre improves conditions for healthcare professionals while providing dignified and convenient medical access for local residents.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Deputy Head of the Vilabouly District Health Office, Mr Chanthavong Phouangvichit, expressed appreciation for the new facility on behalf of the district.

“LXML has long demonstrated leadership in supporting community health outcomes. This facility will serve the 4,503 residents in the villages of Na Kae, Na Than Hia, Na Kachan, Khoua Nga, Kok Tong, Na Nam Sang, and Lao-Tha,” he said.
“With strong public health awareness already present, statistics previously showed over 2,400 outpatient visits and more than 500 inpatient cases annually. This investment will have a lasting, meaningful impact on primary healthcare delivery here.”
Also addressing the ceremony, Superintendent of Land Access and Community Development, Mr Vilaphone Virachit, representing LXML, said “This health centre reflects a long-term partnership built on shared accountability and community care. It represents more than infrastructure — it stands as a testimony of trust, cooperation, and sustained investment in the well-being of Vilabouly communities.”
“LXML upholds the guiding principle of our parent company, Chifeng Gold: ‘To benefit more people through the development of Chifeng Gold’, reaffirming our role as a development partner with local communities.”
In addition to funding the building, LXML allocated more than 60 million kip for the purchase of medical equipment to support both the Na Kae facility and the Na Xieng Lae Health Centre, enhancing service readiness across local health networks.
This investment represents more than the delivery of new infrastructure — it reflects LXML’s sustained commitment to supporting the wellbeing and socio-economic development of communities in Vilabouly district.
Strengthening primary healthcare remains a core priority under the company’s community development strategy. Construction of the health centre aligns directly with the Health Management and Monitoring Plan 2024, part of the Far Western Prospect.
This long-term support underscores LXML’s approach to sustainable development delivered in parallel with responsible mining contributions, promoting resilient public health services for current and future generations.
