As part of the initiative, PBLL contributed essential goods, food supplies, learning materials, and daily necessities to strengthen the Centre’s operations and foster a more supportive learning environment.
The day’s activities included a welcome session with the Centre’s representatives, a donation handover and certificate presentation, classroom interactions between PBLL staff and students, group photos capturing the spirit of collaboration, and a drone video activity, where staff and students formed commemorative shapes to honour PBLL’s 30 years (1995-2025) of service in Laos.
Expressing gratitude, PBLL conveyed sincere appreciation to the Hands of Hope Centre for the opportunity to collaborate.
The Bank reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to community development and social inclusion, emphasising that its anniversary celebration was not only a milestone in corporate success but also a testament to its responsibility towards society.
Director of the Hands of Hope Sign Language Centre, Ms Sophaphone Heuanglit, said thousands of deaf people in Laos need assistance because they cannot communicate with society and their families due to a lack of education, while some of them are looked down upon by their friends and others in their community.
She added that deaf individuals who graduate from the Centre are able to help themselves and communicate with their families and friends.
