President to visit S. Korea to boost growing partnership

President Thongloun Sisoulith will travel to the Republic of Korea next week to strengthen the longstanding ties between Laos and S.Korea as the two countries mark 30 years of diplomatic relations.
The President and his wife will visit Korea on December 14-15 at the invitation of President Lee Jae-myung. The visit aims to deepen friendship and expand cooperation, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The visit carries special meaning as it takes place during the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Laos and the Republic of Korea established ties on October 25, 1995, and have since expanded cooperation in several sectors.
