OR Seeding the Future ASEAN Camp 2025: Empowering Youth to Shape the Future

International collaboration is a crucial gateway to knowledge exchange, innovation, and regional development. Recognising this, PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR) — whose regional portfolio includes PTTLAO, a subsidiary operating the PTT Station retail network as well as Café Amazon — proudly hosted the ninth annual “OR Seeding the Future ASEAN Camp 2025”.
This dynamic six-day programme, held from November 23-28, served as a premier platform for ASEAN youth to ideate, take action, and inspire one another.
This year, 50 exceptional university students were selected from Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, and the Philippines. Their selection was based on their outstanding Climate-Tech video projects and insightful perspectives on current climate challenges, demonstrating the creativity and potential of the region’s next generation of leaders.
Senior Executive Vice President of Global Business at OR, Mr Songpon Thepnumsommanus, shared his vision for the initiative: "Investing in the next generation is akin to planting the most beautiful seeds for the future.”
“This camp provides young people with a unique space to explore, experiment, and uncover their own potential. They forge cross-cultural friendships, gain confidence, and leave inspired with new ideas they can apply in real life, preparing them to become key contributors to ASEAN’s development."
Throughout the camp, the 50 participants engaged in carefully designed, hands-on activities that honed essential professional skills.
These included teamwork, creative thinking, leadership, and effective communication. Students tackled real-world challenges, fostering problem-solving abilities and resilience while working collaboratively under tight deadlines.

Working alongside peers from four different countries offered a rich cultural exchange through activities ranging from performances and storytelling to showcasing unique local traditions.
These experiences powerfully demonstrated that differences are not barriers but sources of strength, which helped to build mutual understanding, foster regional harmony, and enhance collaborative potential.
Another key highlight of the programme involved field visits to OR facilities. These included the OASYS Lifestyle Business Centre and the OR Academy in Wang Noi, Ayutthaya; the Ban Rong Po LPG Terminal in Bang Lamung, Chonburi; and more.
These visits provided participants with a firsthand look at OR’s commitment to community engagement, environmental conservation, and practical energy business management, perfectly reflecting OR’s philosophy of “Empowering All towards Inclusive Growth”.

The six days of the OR Seeding the Future ASEAN Camp 2025 offered far more than just experiential learning. It expanded the participants’ understanding of the energy and Climate-Tech sectors while instilling a strong sense of sustainability.
Students gained crucial insights into their roles on a regional scale, developed new skills, and built lasting friendships and professional networks across borders.
The camp ended on a high note, marking another successful year and empowering ASEAN youth with the confidence, energy, and potential to become the region’s next generation of leaders.
