ST Bank launches new financial products at Lao Money Expo

ST Bank, a 100 percent Lao-owned private bank, has launched three new financial products at the ongoing Lao Money Expo 2025 in Vientiane, reaffirming its commitment to expanding modern financial services to meet the evolving needs of customers.
Established in 2009, ST Bank has continued to strengthen its product portfolio, covering credit services, deposit products, payment solutions, and international card services.
At this year’s Lao Money Expo, the bank formally introduced the School Savings Account, the ATM STB–UnionPay Card, and the VISA Debit Co-Brand Card, all of which have been authorised by Bank of the Lao PDR.

The newly launched STB–UnionPay ATM Card can be used at ST Bank ATMs nationwide and across the LAPNET network, as well as for international and online payments at merchants displaying the UnionPay logo.
Promotional offers include free issuance of new cards and free replacement of existing cards with the new STB–UnionPay ATM Card, alongside special online promotions during the campaign period.
Meanwhile, the VISA Debit Co-Brand Card enables both domestic and international payments through physical stores and online platforms, offering added convenience for customers who frequently shop and transact digitally.
As part of the promotional campaign, ST Bank is offering a 50 percent discount on new card issuance fees, along with a 50 percent cashback on annual fees when spending requirements are met.
In addition, the School Savings Account is designed to support long-term financial planning for children’s education. Customers can deposit funds at any time via the ST Bank mobile application or at service counters nationwide, while enjoying interest rates higher than those of regular savings accounts.
To mark the launch, customers who open a School Savings Account with a minimum deposit of 500,000 kip during the Expo will receive a Care Bears gift from Miniso Laos.
Visitors to the Lao Money Expo 2025, which is taking place at Lao-ITECC from December 15-21, can enjoy a wide range of special promotions available throughout the event, reflecting ST Bank’s ongoing efforts to enhance the customer experience and promote financial inclusion in Laos.
