IndusTek, Ministry of Public Security partner in fire prevention

All-round support provided by IndusTek Co., Ltd. to the Ministry of Public Security aims to develop the capabilities of fire prevention teams in Laos, as well as inform members of the public about the law and appropriate behaviour, so that people are aware of the consequences of a fire because, if a fire does occur, it can destroy lives, property and family members.

Lao people will benefit from the collaboration between IndusTek Co., Ltd. and the Ministry of Public Security, especially in terms of enhanced capacity and stronger safety precautions in the firefighting sector.
The company and the ministry have worked together to create an improved safety system for the Lao public, with a focus on the extinguishing of fires.
The combination of industry-leading fire equipment, alongside the variety of health and safety courses it offers, means that IndusTek is the number one destination for employers looking to ensure the safety of their staff.
The Managing Director of IndusTek, Mr Phonesavanh Xaypanya, spoke to reporters after an agreement signing ceremony between IndusTek Co., Ltd. and the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department, General Police Department, and Ministry of Public Security at the Ministry of Technical Cooperation in fire prevention and fire-fighting.
Mr Phonesavanh said “We have cooperated in inspecting various types of equipment used in fire-fighting in Laos and have provided equipment that meets the requisite standards for both fire extinguishing systems and the working methods used by firefighters.
Asked whether he thought fire crews would benefit from the initiative, Mr Phonesavanh said “Let me say that they will benefit a lot and that if fire-fighters in Laos are better informed and have greater capacity and knowledge with regard to safety issues, we would see fewer fire tragedies around the country.”
“Our company not only provides safety equipment to factories and companies but also provides consultancy and training to industrial units by partnering with ministries such as the Ministry of Public Security in the provision of fire prevention training,” he said.
“Today, we are building the first occupational safety training centre in Laos to provide job-related safety training which will be beneficial to both employers and employees,” he added.
Founded in 2016, IndusTek is a leading supplier of safety equipment and industrial supplies, upholding its position as the largest distributor of general personal protective equipment in Laos.
Mr Phonesavanh said safety equipment specialists have partnered with some of the most significant brands and their products in the sector, including Ansell protective gloves, Draeger and Honeywell respirators, Atem respiratory products, and many other international brands.
Their selection of equipment is comprehensive, and whether customers are looking for safety eyewear and headgear, face shields, noise-cancelling earplugs, or protective muffs, the experts have the items needed to ensure clients have taken every precaution.

Along with senior officials from the ministry,  IndusTek Co., Ltd and invited guests were attended an agreement signing ceremony.

IndusTek is keen to spread its specific brand of safety to every relevant company in the country.
As well as its exhaustive list of available products, the team also provides consultancy and training services that help companies working in precarious environments, such as working at heights, in confined spaces, blazing infernos, high-rise construction, fire extinguishing, and rescue.
Under the agreement, the two parties will jointly build the capacity of fire prevention officials and those working in related fields, through workshops, seminars, meetings and conferences on topics of mutual interest and concern, according to the ministry.
They also agreed to hold further discussions and sign Memorandums of Understanding on each agreed area of cooperation.
Under the agreement, IndusTek will provide financial and technical support for Lao firefighters to undergo training in Laos and broaden their knowledge of fire-fighting techniques and fire prevention and control by attending courses in other countries.
IndusTek has a centre that can be used to provide training and skills development to ensure that fire-fighters can properly fulfil their duties and responsibilities.
