Tigerhead marks fifth year backing Vientiane International Marathon as participation surges
Tigerhead has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle, marking its fifth year as a presented sponsor of the Vientiane International Marathon (VIM) 2025, which drew a record-breaking number of runners this year and highlighted Laos’ growing profile on the international sports map.
Through its flagship drinking water brand Tigerhead and isotonic beverage Revive, Lao Brewery Company (LBC) once again stood at the heart of the country’s largest marathon event, which was held on December 14 and attracted more than 7,000 participants — a striking increase of about 56 percent from the roughly 4,500 runners who took part in VIM 2024.
The surge in participation reinforced the Vientiane International Marathon’s status as the biggest running event in Laos, while underlining its expanding role in stimulating the economic, tourism and service sectors.
With runners representing 45 nationalities, the 2025 edition showcased the marathon’s growing regional and global appeal and further positioned Laos as an emerging destination for international sporting events.
LBC Managing Director Henrik Juel Andersen said the company’s continued support reflects shared values between the marathon and the company’s long-term vision.
“For five years, we have proudly supported the Vientiane International Marathon because it reflects values we deeply believe in - health, community and sustainable progress,” he said.
“Our commitment to producing high-quality, gold medal-winning drinking water is rooted in the same belief that quality matters, especially when it comes to health. Through Tigerhead and Revive, we strive to promote active lifestyles and better well-being, while supporting the broader economic and tourism development of Laos.”
