Thai govt provides backing for Laos’ ASEAN chairmanship

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Saleumxay Kommasith, on Thursday welcomed support from Thailand for Laos’ chairmanship of ASEAN this year.
The Thai government, through Thailand’s Ambassador to Laos, Ms Morakot Sriswasdi, on Thursday officially agreed to fund the repair of offices at Wattay International Airport, buy office equipment and redecorate offices, at a cost of 5 million Thai baht (more than 3 billion kip).
