Huaphan, Son La provinces bolster ties between Laos and ​Vietnam​

Provincial authorities from Huaphan​ and​ neighbouring Son La province in Vietnam have inked an agreement on the provision of medical treatment for residents of Huaphan at the ​provincial hospital and Public Health Institute in Son La province.
The agreement, which was signed in Huaphan province on​ Thursday​, furthers cooperation between the two provinces in the fields of education,​health,​ and ​other​ sectors​
The document was​ signed by the Governor of​ Huaphan​ province,​ Dr​  Kampheng​ Saysompheng​, and provincial Party Secretary and National Assembly member for Son La province, Nguyễn Thanh Huy.
Under​ the agreement,​ the relevant departments from the two provinces will stay in regular contact and share information about​ issues of mutual interest in the medical field, especially the emergence of any diseases.
They will also cooperate in education, construction, societal development, and cultural affairs.
During the years 2022-2024, Son La province is awarding 125 scholarships to residents of Huaphan province for study in high schools and to take bachelor, associate and master's degrees in Son La, as well as Vietnamese language training.
