Solar seminar drives clean energy growth

On 27 March 2026, VS Engineering Sole Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Thavysub Energy Engineering and Consulting Company Limited who developed solar farm more than 50MW in the Lao PDR, a local Lao enterprise, and AIKO, a globally recognised manufacturer of solar panels, successfully organized a technical seminar on innovation and solar energy development in the Lao PDR.
The seminar was convened with the objective of enhancing participants’ knowledge and understanding of advanced solar technologies, including high-efficiency photovoltaic (PV) panels and inverters that comply with international standards and are recognised among the leading technologies globally. The programme also provided an overview of the Lao PDR’s national policies and strategic directions in promoting solar energy development, supporting the Government’s objectives for renewable energy expansion and sustainable economic growth.
Furthermore, the seminar served as an important platform for dialogue and coordination among key stakeholders in the energy sector. Participants included representatives from project development companies, equipment suppliers, government agencies, planners, contractors, and financial institutions. This engagement facilitated knowledge sharing, strengthened institutional cooperation, and encouraged the exploration of potential partnerships to advance solar energy initiatives in the Lao PDR.
The seminar was officially opened by Mr Alex Liew, President of VS Engineering Sole Co., Ltd., who emphasised the critical role of technological innovation and cross-sector collaboration in accelerating solar energy development in alignment with national priorities.
