Kasemrad International Hospital Vientiane opens Breast Cancer Centre

Kasemrad International Hospital Vientiane has officially opened its Breast Cancer Centre, marking a significant step forward in enhancing cancer care in Laos.
The opening ceremony was held on March 20, 2026, reinforcing the hospital’s continued commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services in line with international standards.
As the first private hospital in Laos to receive Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation, the hospital has been recognised for maintaining strict standards in patient safety and quality of care.
The newly established Breast Cancer Centre aims to provide a comprehensive range of services, covering early screening, accurate diagnosis and personalised treatment. The centre integrates modern medical technologies with international expertise to support effective breast cancer management.
Hospital Director Dr Wattana Pareesri said the initiative reflects the hospital’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its medical capabilities.
“As the first private hospital in Laos to achieve JCI accreditation, we remain committed to upholding the highest standards in quality and patient safety, while continuously introducing innovative technologies and modern treatment approaches,” he said.
He added that the establishment of the centre was made possible through academic collaboration with leading specialists from Thailand, including Dr Chalerm Harnphanich and Dr Prakasit Chirappapha.
The opening of the Breast Cancer Centre is an important milestone in advancing comprehensive and modern cancer care in Laos, providing patients with improved access to internationally standardised treatment closer to home.
