Lao, Vietnamese advertising firms move to strengthen business ties     

Members of the Lao Sign Association, Ho Chi Minh City Advertising Association and the Mekong Business Club of Vietnam met in Vientiane on April 10 for a networking session aimed to strengthen cooperation.  
The meeting was attended by representatives from 20 Lao companies, led by the President of the Lao Sign Association, Mr Vongnam Vongvilay, and delegates from 24 Vietnamese companies, led by the President of the Ho Chi Minh City Advertising Association, Mr Nguyen Thanh Dao, who is also Vice President and Permanent Member of the Vietnam Advertising Association.
The meeting was also attended by officials from Laos’ Ministry of Culture and Tourism.  
According to the Lao Sign Association, this was the first visit to Laos by members of the Vietnam Advertising Association following a visit by Lao Sign Association members to an international advertising equipment and technology exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City in 2023.
During this month’s meeting in Vientiane, participants introduced their businesses and discussed the possibilities for cooperation.
In addition, several Memorandums of Understanding were signed to lay the foundation for deeper and longer-lasting collaboration in various fields.
President of the Lao Sign Association, Mr Vongnam Vongvilay, said the meeting was very successful, with the Vietnamese side inviting the Lao Sign Association to participate in the Viet Ad 2026 exhibition to be held in Ho Chi Minh City in the middle of this year.
