Lao Brewery Company celebrates International Labour Day with major support for Walk for Health

The Lao Brewery Company (LBC) stepped up to energise the national celebration of the 140th International Labour Day by supporting a “Walk for Health” at the iconic Patuxay Park on May 1.
The event, marking the historic period from May 1, 1886  to May 1, 2026, was graced by the President of the Lao Front for National Development, Prof. Dr Kikeo Khaykhamphithoune.
Also in attendance were leaders of the Lao Federation of Trade Unions (LFTU), ministerial trade unions, and a vibrant assembly of workers and trade union members from across Vientiane.

To foster a spirit of health and solidarity, the management and Trade Union Executive Committee of the Lao Brewery Company led a large group of their own employees in the walk, contributing to the lively atmosphere of the day.
The Lao Brewery Company further bolstered the event by contributing T-shirts and Tigerhead drinking water, and setting up water distribution stations, providing support worth a total of 154,000,000 kip.
The official handover took place between  CA, CSR and Sustainability Director and President of the Trade Union at Lao Brewery company Mr Sithixay Kettavong, and the Vice President of the LFTU, Mr Vilay Vongkhaseum, and was witnessed by officials from both organisations.
This latest contribution underscores a partnership between the Lao Brewery Company and the LFTU that has flourished for more than a decade. The company’s involvement serves to honour and appreciate the workforce as the driving force behind the nation’s continued development.
