Toyo Industry Lao Factory charts expansion following ministerial guidance and industry proposals
Toyo Industry Lao Factory Sole Co Ltd, a leading “Made in Laos” manufacturer of piping systems, is set to further strengthen its role in national development following a recent visit by the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Mr Leklai Sivilay, who provided strategic guidance to support the company’s continued growth and contribution to the economy.
During the visit, Mr Leklai encouraged the company to continue diversifying its TOYO-branded products, while maintaining high quality standards, to better serve society and contribute to socio-economic development and environmental protection.
He emphasised the importance of expanding marketing efforts to reach a broader customer base, and increasing participation in water supply projects to help address water shortages in line with national priorities.

In addition, the Minister highlighted the need for the company to expand its warehouse network nationwide, including establishing more branches and appointing authorised distributors to improve accessibility and service delivery.
The visit reflected the growing recognition of Toyo Industry Lao Factory’s contribution to Laos’ industrialisation, and the importance the government has attached to promoting made-in-Laos products. The company has established itself as one of the country’s most trusted domestic manufacturers, producing a wide range of piping solutions that support infrastructure, agriculture, water supply and urban development.
Founded in 2016, the company has built a strong reputation for quality and innovation, achieving international certification standards and playing a key role in promoting locally manufactured products under the “Made in Laos” initiative. Its product portfolio includes PVC, HDPE, PPR and Double Wall Corrugated (DWC) pipes, underground power pipes, and specialised systems for electrical and telecommunications infrastructure.
Welcoming the Minister’s visit, the President of Toyo Industry Lao Factory Sole Company Limited, Dr Langkone Xaingavong, outlined a series of proposals aimed at strengthening the sector and supporting sustainable development nationwide.

Among the key proposals is the development of national standards for indoor and outdoor water pipe systems aligned with the government’s “Made in Laos” policy. The proposal advocates a transition from traditional steel and galvanised pipes to high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes, citing their durability, cost-effectiveness, and environmental advantages, as well as their potential to boost domestic industry.
Dr Langkone called for policies to promote wastewater treatment systems that meet national environmental standards. Such systems, he noted, should be widely adopted across households, urban areas, offices, and key economic sectors, including industry, agriculture and mining.
To address urban infrastructure challenges, the company proposed organising technical seminars on the application of Double Wall Corrugated (DWC) pipes for flood drainage and road-crossing systems. These initiatives aim to provide more efficient and flexible design options for public works and transport projects across Laos.
Another proposal focuses on advancing conduit systems for electrical and telecommunications cables, particularly promoting underground installations to enhance public safety, reduce visual clutter and improve urban landscapes.
These proposals build on Toyo’s existing innovations, including modern irrigation technologies, underground cable systems, and efficient piping networks that help reduce water loss and energy consumption.
As Laos continues to pursue industrialisation and infrastructure development, the alignment between government guidance and private sector initiatives is expected to play a crucial role in driving sustainable growth.
With continued investment in technology, human resources and market expansion, Toyo Industry Lao Factory is positioning itself not only as a national industry leader but also as an emerging player in regional markets – supporting Laos’ long-term vision for resilient and modern infrastructure.
