Lao, Chinese students share culture during visit to ancient town in Yunnan
Lao and Chinese students participated in cultural exchange activities and visited an ancient town in Dali city of China’s Yunnan province on March 25, strengthening mutual understanding through shared experiences.
More than 30 Lao students from Vientiane and Luang Prabang joined the activities alongside their Chinese counterparts, and they took part in interactive sessions and school-based exchanges.

The Lao group, accompanied by a representative from the Ministry of Education and Sports and led by the Deputy Director General of the Education Department, Dr Houmphanh Keo Ounkham, visited a local school where students from both countries participated in joint activities.
This allowed them to exchange ideas and learn more about each other’s cultures and education systems.
Cultural performances were staged by the students from Laos and China, featuring traditional music and dance that reflected the rich cultural identities of both nations and created a lively atmosphere.
In addition to these activities, the students visited a well-known ancient town in Dali, where they explored historical landmarks and experienced the unique architectural and cultural heritage of the area.
The activities provided valuable opportunities for students to build friendships, broaden their perspectives, and deepen people-to-people ties between Laos and China.
