VEDI, LCETPA agree school-enterprise cooperation with CVCPT

The Vocational Education Development Institute (VEDI) and Lan-Mekong China Education Training Promotion Alliance (LCETPA) have signed a school-enterprise cooperation agreement with Chongqing Vocational College of Public Transportation (CVCPT), to set up a Talent Training Base in Chongqing, China.
At the meeting, Zhang Dongxu, who is Secretary of the Board of Directors, Director of the Office of Chongqing City Transportation Development and Investment Group Company Limited and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the school, said that against a background of vigorous national development of vocational education, the school will combine its own state-owned enterprises to run the school characteristics, and give full play to its advantages in the field of rail transport.

 

The school will combine the needs of enterprises in line with the principle of “service demand, resource sharing, integration of production and education, mutual benefit and win-win”, establish long-term and close strategic cooperation with enterprises, establish a long-term mechanism of cooperation, broaden the field of cooperation, innovate the form of cooperation, strengthen the implementation of projects, and promote the common development of both sides.
Secretary of the Party Committee of Chongqing Vocational College of Public Transportation, Peng Chao, introduced the school’s international cooperation from the four main initiatives of Chinese standard traction, mutual recognition of Chinese and foreign curricula, Chinese and foreign cultural exchanges, Chinese and foreign school-enterprise education, and the results and achievements achieved in the past.
It is hoped that by drawing on the school’s past experience in international cooperation, it will provide a reference for cooperation between the school and vocational institutions in Laos, and promote better and faster development of vocational education in both countries through joint efforts of both sides.
 Director General of the Vocational Education Development Institute under Laos’ Ministry of Education and Sports, Dr Bounseng Khammounty, affirmed the school’s achievements in urban rail vehicle application technology and railway signal automatic control, and hoped that the school would seize the opportunity of the opening and operation of the Sino-Lao railway to actively do a good job in the field of rail transport and operation and logistics construction as a model project for teacher training.
Mr Allan Yang, who is the Representative of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chongqing Branch, introduced the active role played by the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation between Chinese education and Lao education.
He offered advice and suggestions for Lao universities to carry out in-depth cooperation models with Chinese vocational colleges and universities, hoping that schools and enterprises will give full play to their own advantages and follow the trend to create further success.At the meeting, Liu Chang, the school’s Vice President, and Allan Yang, Representative of the Chongqing Branch of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, signed a framework agreement on school-enterprise cooperation.
Aod Thammavong, Deputy Director of the Administrative and Personnel Department of the Vocational Education Development Institute, Ministry of Education and Sports, Lao PDR, Rex Yang, Head of the Commerce Department and Liu Pengcheng, Head of the Science and Technology Department of the Lan-Mekong China Education Training Promotion Alliance, and Zhong Xiaofen and Tang Chunlin, Vice Principals of the school, attended the signing ceremony.
