The initiative aims to promote Lao ODOP (One District, One Product) goods, handicrafts, and other locally made items by enhancing their quality and expanding their presence in domestic markets.
The MOU outlines a strategic partnership to elevate the standard of selected products so they meet commercial requirements and can be distributed through retail stores located at PTT Lao fuel stations across the country.
The project will also provide broader market access to local producers under the slogan “Top Lao Products”, with implementation planned nationwide according to regional capacities and actual conditions.

This collaboration is expected to support community-based economic development by encouraging the use of local knowledge and raw materials to create high-quality, marketable products.
By adding value and responding to consumer needs, the project will contribute to strengthening grassroots economies across Laos, promoting self-reliance, and enhancing household incomes in a sustainable way.
The Ministry and PTT (Lao) Co., Ltd. expressed their shared commitment to supporting Laos’ economic development by empowering local communities.
Through this project, small-scale producers will be encouraged to improve production processes, design, and packaging, which are key elements that will allow their goods to compete in both local and regional markets.
The Top Lao Products initiative also aligns with national efforts to promote the use of domestic labour and materials while fostering public-private partnerships for sustainable trade development.
Under the supervision of relevant government agencies and with the active involvement of PTT (Lao) Co., Ltd. and its partners, the project will serve as a practical model to support Lao entrepreneurs and celebrate Laos’ cultural identity through commerce.
