A delegation from Yunnan province in China visits Bokeo province on June 5, led by the Deputy Head of the Foreign Relations Office in Yunnan province, Mr Sein Yongje (left). The group met for talks with the Deputy Governor of Bokeo province, Mr Kheuanphet Vongchanh, who hailed the growing cooperation between the Lao northwestern province and Yunnan. He highlighted the investment potential of Bokeo province boosted by the international airport and the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone. China is the largest foreign investor in the province, in key areas such as agriculture, energy, mining, trade, industry, services and tourism. During their visit, the delegation toured the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone where they were briefed about the development of the zone over the past 18 years. They also visited the logistics zone, border checkpoint, agricultural production site, and more.
