Lao Telecommunications Public Company wins Lao Business Leader Award 2022

The Lao Telecommunications Public Company, a leading telecommunication service provider in the country, has won the Lao Business Leader Award 2022.
The country’s most successful business prize was announced at the Lao Business Leader Award 2022 ceremony held at the National Convention Centre on Monday.
Organised by the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI), the annual event was chaired by Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone.
The Director General of the Lao Telecommunications Public Company, also known as Lao Telecom, Mr Souphol Chanthavixay, and his team participated in the event and an associated business meeting, where the premier talked to business leaders from more than 80 business units.
The annual awards congratulate and recognise companies, which are members of the LNCCI, for their outstanding performance that enables the firms to overcome any difficulty.
Lao Telecom earlier won the Lao Business Leader Award for two consecutive years in 2021 and 2022, during which businesses around the world were heavily impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Winners of the Lao Business Leader Award 2022 have all been outstanding performers, which have fulfilled obligations such as paying taxes to the state on time on a regular basis. They have also made contributions to social assistance in the fields of health, education, natural disaster relief, national defence and public security.
Lao Telecom extended financial support amounting to US$8,000 to the LNCCI for organising this year’s Lao Business Leader Award 2022.
During the event, Prime Minister Sonexay outlined the government’s direction and plan for socio-economic development, especially measures to address financial and economic difficulties and to remove barriers to ease business operations.
At the event, Lao Telecom set up a booth showcasing its products for  visitors.
Lao Telecom has won a number of national and international awards in recognition of its outstanding performance in the field of business.
These awards include the Lao Business Leader Award 2021 and 2022, Fastest Growing FTTH Internet Service Provider from the International Finance Awards 2022, Fastest Growing Mobile e-Wallet App M-Money from International Finance Awards, and ASOCIO Environmental, Social & Governance Award from ASOCIO Tech Excellence Awards 2022 in Singapore.
Lao Telecom is committed to continue developing and modernising its services and products to meet the growing need of clients in this age of digital economy, so as to better serve society as enshrined at its motto “Lao Telecom, the telecommunication of the Lao people for the Lao society”.
