Laos is joining with communities around the world to celebrate World Teachers’ Day on October 5 and in Laos, National Teachers’ Day on 7 October. We celebrate the incredible impact that teachers have on shaping the future of Laos. The government is proud to partner with the Australian government to improve teaching quality and student literacy outcomes through the Basic Education Quality and Access in Laos programme. Australia is committed to empowering teachers with new teaching methods to ensure they have confidence and skills to deliver the revised curriculum. We hope that support through the BEQUAL programme will lead to improved teaching quality and learning outcomes for girls and boys, especially the most vulnerable and disadvantaged. |
