Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Saleumxay Kommasith, representing Laos as the ASEAN chair for 2024 under the theme “ASEAN: Enhancing Connectivity and Resilience”, on Tuesday chairs the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting at the National Convention Centre in Vientiane. The meeting was attended by ASEAN foreign ministers, the Secretary-General of ASEAN, the foreign minister of Timor-Leste and other delegates. The meeting praised the progress made in implementating the ASEAN Community Vision 2025 and the nine priorities stipulated under Laos’ ASEAN chairmanship to build a more connected and resilient ASEAN Community and enable the bloc to effectively address challenges and deliver benefits to the people of ASEAN. |
