Mongolian President arrives in Vientiane on state visit

Mongolian President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa and his delegation arrived in Vientiane on Sunday for a state visit to Laos to enhance the longstanding friendly relations between the two countries.
The two-day visit is in response to an invitation from his Lao counterpart Thongloun Sisoulith, the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press statement.
Head of the Administrative Office of the President’s Office Ms Khammani Pholsena and other senior officials welcomed the Mongolian leader and his entourage at Wattay International Apport.
During his visit, President Ukhnaa will hold talks with President Thongloun, and meet Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone and President of the National Assembly Xaysomphone Phomvihane.
Laos and Mongolia established diplomatic ties on September 12, 1962. The Mongolian Embassy to Laos is located in Vientiane.
