          | The Asian  Institute of Technology Alumni Association (AITAA) last week hosts its 53rd  Governance Board Meeting in Vientiane, under the theme “Enhancing Connectivity  and Strengthening Partnerships”. The event welcomed representatives from 19  AITAA Chapters worldwide. The meeting was jointly presided over by AIT  President Professor Dr Pa Chi Li, Dr Donald Ugsang, President of the AITAA  Mother Chapter, and Mr Somphone Sisenglath, President of the AITAA Lao Chapter.  Distinguished Alumni Awards, in recognition of outstanding achievements in  various sectors, were presented to Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Dr  Linkham Douangsavanh (Public Sector category), Ms Xoukiet Panyanouvong in the  International Affairs category, and the General Director of Lao Skyways, Mr  Panthavy Sisongkham, in the Business and Professional Practice category. |

          | Chair of the Laos-Korea Friendship Association, Mr Khamsouay  Keodalavong, and other officials recently delivered medicine worth over 600  million kip to representatives of hospitals in Thoulakhom and Keo-Oudom  districts, Vientiane province, for diabetes and other treatments.
